FLIP-BOOKS

Everyone knows what a flip-book is, but these flip-books are special! They all feature anaglyphic 3-Dimensional images. Each page is a 3D picture and the flip-book must be viewed with anaglyph glasses which come with the flip-books. All flip-books offered here are limited editions made in very small quantities and printed on durable high quality photo paper. Just put on the glasses and flip away to see not only motion, but motion in 3D. For more details about Flip-Books in general, click here.

To appreciate the uniqueness of these 3D flip-books, they can be viewed as small animated movies or GIF animations. Click on the pictures on the right to see the animation.

Unless it states differently, each flip-book is about 36-42 pages and approximately 2.5" x 4". You can buy the 40 page books for $15 per book.  Some of the books are approximately double in thickness and are more expensive. This is done when an action is more interesting to see as it appears and disappears as in the "Packing Cubes" example below. All prices include shipping in the USA. The full set comes with a bonus: a 55 page booklet about the history of flip-books and the development of 3D flip-books.

The flip-books that I produce are published only in limited and numbered editions and each series is limited usually to 100 flip books. The sequential number of each flip-book is found usually on the last page in this format: 24/100, etc. Unlike commercially printed materials, my flip books are printed individually on high quality photographic paper, printed with archival inks, and bound in such a way as to allow for an extremely smooth and easy flipping of the pages in either direction. I do not sell those in large quantities but you can order as many as you want as long as the total number of flip books from the same series has not been sold. When the books from a single series reaches 100, no more books of that title are printed any longer. This is a guarantee for a collector that his or her investment is solid in those special flip-books.

Since I don't sell those in quantities, there is no "wholesale" or discount price. If you are a reseller, please don't ask me for a wholesale price, but you are welcome to mark up and resell the flip books for any amount you wish. Most of my flip books are only $15 (standard size) and some that are double thickness are more expensive. The price includes shipping in the USA. For all other countries there is an additional $8 for shipping of the standard size books and $10 for the double sized books. ($30 for the full set.)

This little booklet tells the story of the genre from the first flipbook patented in 1868 to the latest "invention" of the 3D flip book. The booklet includes numerous illustrations and a surprise animation.  The History flipbook is not sold separately. Please notice that the slipcase is not included with the set!

The flipbooks below are all oversized and measure 5.25" x 3" with pictures that are 2.5" tall.

Furthermore, some of these are in special 3D format called PHANTOGRAM. A phantogram is an image that when viewed at 45 degrees would appear to be rising from the page - just as a ghost. These are fascinating image animations, definitely another first in the history of flipbooks! Larger sized flipbooks are more expensive than the series above and special phantogram flipbooks are even more expensive than those.
